Take slow deep breaths and exhale slowly as well. That will help ease tension in your chest area and stomach and relieve stress and anxiety.

Lastly, your diet matters a lot. Stay away from eating too much spicy and fatty food. The acids will irritate your stomach and increase your chances of getting GERD.
